Our team is entrusted with a range of essential duties aimed at enhancing alumni engagement and developing a strong sense of community. Here’s an overview of our key responsibilities:

Communication Channels

We are tasked with establishing clear and effective communication channels with and among alumni, working closely with colleges to ensure seamless coordination.

Coordinating Alumni Activities

Our team coordinates, plans, and organizes various alumni activities, including clubs, groups, and events, designed to strengthen connections and facilitate meaningful interactions.

Managing Alumni Portal

We are tasked with establishing clear and effective communication channels with and among alumni, working closely with colleges to ensure seamless coordination.

Publishing Alumni Newsletter

Our team publishes a monthly alumni newsletter, providing a platform to showcase alumni voices and achievements across academic, research, and extracurricular activities. We collaborate with the Alumni Association Board to develop content.

Maintaining Alumni Database

We regularly update the alumni database with essential information such as names, contact numbers, email addresses, program names, and graduation years, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records.

Tracking Alumni Progress

In collaboration with the six colleges, we track alumni training, licensure status, and employment, maintaining comprehensive alumni employability databases to support ongoing career development opportunities.

Through these responsibilities, we aim to facilitate meaningful connections, provide valuable resources, and support the continued success and engagement of the GMU alumni community.
